Lamb and Frog?

This explanation was excerpted from my post for June 12th 2007 (six days after I got this bad boy up and running).

When I finally got this blog up and running, I sent out a self-congratulatory e-mail to all my friends. Kentucky Julia, enabler of all my bad habits (except those enabled by Dagmar) and a fellow technical writer, asked me “What does Lamb and Frog mean? Is it a literary reference? Ha. Ha.” Yup, she actually put that “Ha. Ha.” in there.  So here’s what I told her (in case anyone else was wondering):

Obviously, Lamb and Frog is NOT a literary reference (ha!). I wanted something that was kind of peaceful…you know biblical and bucolically peaceful (like the lion laying down with the lamb)…but knitting related. So here’s the twisted logic (if there’s any logic at all)…ya knits wit da wool (from da lamb). Ya screws up so ya’s got to frog (rippit rippit). So in knitting, da lamb (da wool) & da frog are mortal enemies. But on my blog, which is biblically bucolic and peaceful, they do…see? (Now are you sorry you asked?)
