Cooler Heads Prevail
And prayer, patience, and perseverance saved the day…again.
First, I know a lot of you were praying (or sending whatever kind of cosmic mojo is in your universe). Thanks for that. Special thanks (as always) to Buns of Strudel (who hasn’t been able to blog since she started her career as an advocate) for all of the advice she gave me for free, but especially for her most famous two words…”stay frosty”. I’m so, so glad she’s getting paid now.
Second, in case you haven’t figured it out. I got the boys placed in a good school first thing this morning. They start on Monday.
I’ll post full details later, but for right now, I’m completely wrung out. I just had the first decent meal I’ve had since Monday and I’m going to take a nap, which I don’t think is going to affect my ability to sleep tonight, since I haven’t been sleeping much this week either.
So, in the words of my favorite godless heathen, Kentucky Julia, “Later ‘taters!”
Congrats! So glad to hear that. My GD goes back on Monday, too, in a school that’s good for her. It always makes you rest easier when you know your kids are safe and happy.
Sure is. The last year has been such a nightmare, I won’t be resting easy until they’ve been in school for a couple of months though. Thanks for commenting!
