Unfortunately, this time, it’s a baby. Baby Ted was born four months premature in Ely, Nevada, and is now in the NICU in Salt Lake City, Utah, and today he’s having a really bad day.
Baby Ted’s parents are good friends of my good friends Matt & Suzy (parents of the baby who received the never ending blanket of doom) and they sure could use some help.
Please take a moment today to pray (or whatever) for Ted and his family. Please take another moment to consider making a small donation to help with his family’s expenses (rent while they are in Salt Lake, daycare expenses for their two-year-old girl, travel, and of course, Ted’s medical expenses). I’ll make both those moments worth your while because they will mean the world to Ted and his family (and because Ted and his family mean the world to people who mean the world to me).

I don’t have the donation details yet, but I’m expecting them from the family later today (I hope…they kind of have a lot on their plate right now). I’ll post donation details and updates when I get them. The closing date for the contest is still TBD, but will probably be around next Friday or so.

Thoughts and prayers going to this family and that little baby. My niece was born when my sister was only 28 weeks along. I know how much it means to the family just to know others are thinking of them.
Amazing to see such a tiny baby. I will add little Ted and his family to my prayer list and think positive thoughts for his speedy growth and healing. Hoping he is bigger and home really soon.

Poor sweet little one. I am new to the knitters group but I saw your post and had to come check. My own little premie, altough not near that early is now a beautiful 15 year old young lady. Thoughts and prayers to this family. May this litte one be blessed with a long and happy life.

I am not someone who prays, but I’m sending as many positive thoughts toward Ted and his family as I possibly can.
I send my prayers and my story and my apathy. I’ve been in their shoes. I am 52. Fifty two years ago a baby didn’t have the medical help available today. I survived , extremely premature, under 1 pound in weight. Baptized immediately after birth , over six months in the hospital before being allowed to be brought home. Mother and baby both almost died. I survived. Don’t give up believing, that is what the baby needs now. You have my prayers.

Hi. i was the same way when i was hi age i was born 4 months too soon too.
i had like about 13 heart failures and i survived and now im in cross country and im really good and really healthy too.
but baby ted will be fine trust me. everything is alright =]]
