Music I’ve Mentioned

UFO

Unfortunately, this time, it’s a baby. Baby Ted was born four months premature in Ely, Nevada, and is now in the NICU in Salt Lake City, Utah, and today he’s having a really bad day.

Baby Ted’s parents are good friends of my good friends Matt & Suzy (parents of the baby who received the never ending blanket of doom) and they sure could use some help.

Please take a moment today to pray (or whatever) for Ted and his family. Please take another moment to consider making a small donation to help with his family’s expenses (rent while they are in Salt Lake, daycare expenses for their two-year-old girl, travel, and of course, Ted’s medical expenses). I’ll make both those moments worth your while because they will mean the world to Ted and his family (and because Ted and his family mean the world to people who mean the world to me).

Send me an e-mail (amber at lambandfrog dot [you know]) or post a comment to let me know you sent Ted & his family some spiritual mojo and I’ll put your name in a drawing for a skein (enough for a a pair of socks) of Lisa Souza Sock! yarn (you can pick the colorway, I’ll order it and have it shipped to your house) or (for you non-knitting or non-sock knitting people) a pair of socks in the colorway of your choice  hand knit by yours truly. Send me an e-mail telling me you’ve not only sent some spiritual, but some financial mojo ($2 minimum) and I’ll put your name in twice!  Depending on the number of responses, I may give away more stuff. For those of you who have already pledged and prayed (mom, Aunt Connie, Kentucky) based on an earlier e-mail from me, consider yourselves entered.

I don’t have the donation details yet, but I’m expecting them from the family later today (I hope…they kind of have a lot on their plate right now). I’ll post donation details and updates when I get them. The closing date for the contest is still TBD, but will probably be around next Friday or so.

All of us knitters know what a huge force we are when we use our powers for good (because we would never, ever use them for evil). Here’s a(nother) chance to show the muggles.

Peace and Love.

  • Thoughts and prayers going to this family and that little baby. My niece was born when my sister was only 28 weeks along. I know how much it means to the family just to know others are thinking of them.

Amazing to see such a tiny baby. I will add little Ted and his family to my prayer list and think positive thoughts for his speedy growth and healing. Hoping he is bigger and home really soon.

    Best wishes to all.

Sending the best vibes I can. No need to enter me in the contest, as I am awash (cold water only) in sock yarn. Hugs.

My thoughts and prayers are with Baby Ted and his family. I know that God watches over all creatures great and SMALL and will hold Ted in the palm of his hand until he can go home to the loving arms of his family. Please stay positive and believe that he will be healed. A prayer with every stitch until he is safe and sound, Lisa

  • This was my prayer for my own daughter:
“Dear Lord, watch over beast and flowers and singing birds,
And guard with tenderness small things that have no words.”

Thoughts and prayers to baby Ted.

I send wishes and prayers and possitive thoughts for this baby. I KNOW he can survive. My fraternal twins did, and they have no lasting problems and are both straight A students.

Tiny Ted has a fighting chance, he has survived this long and he is a fighter. He has a huge crowd cheering him on.

Go Ted, Go Ted, Go Ted, Go Go, Go Ted.

I am not someone who prays, but I’m sending as many positive thoughts toward Ted and his family as I possibly can.

  • I send my prayers and my story and my apathy. I’ve been in their shoes. I am 52. Fifty two years ago a baby didn’t have the medical help available today. I survived , extremely premature, under 1 pound in weight. Baptized immediately after birth , over six months in the hospital before being allowed to be brought home. Mother and baby both almost died. I survived. Don’t give up believing, that is what the baby needs now. You have my prayers.

  • contest or not .. warm, healthy, gentle prayers for the baby and his family.

I am so sorry to read of his passing. I know he is now in peace and will pray for peace for his family.

  • janice

My thoughts and prayers are with Ted’s family at this time. I’m sure he has had a huge impact on all of the lives he touched. Such determination for one so small to enter the world at that stage. I’m sorry to hear his struggle has ended.

  • Connie
